Our Terroir, the Heart of Our Identity

Our vineyard, located in Gigondas and on the lands of Côtes-du-Rhône, is full of unique characteristics and authenticity. Discover in detail our terroir and grape varieties.

The Characteristics of Our Terroir

Our vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate with the beneficial influence of the Mistral wind and the Dentelles de Montmirail. The west-facing exposure ensures optimal aeration, creating an ideal balance between finesse and acidity in our wines. The sandy soils, with high permeability, preserve soil quality, promote rapid drainage after rain, minimize risks associated with excess moisture, and allow continuous vine growth. The presence of "safre" from Provence adds a historical dimension to our vineyard, preserving the regional viticultural heritage.

The Characteristics of Our Grape Varieties

Our vineyard is distinguished by two distinct characteristics. First, the age of our vines, some of which are pre-phylloxeric and nearly 140 years old, testifying to our viticultural history. In particular, our Grenache vines, resilient to phylloxera, embody the nobility of the variety. Secondly, our commitment to diversity is reflected in the cultivation of 13 different grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Clairette. Meticulous individual vinification preserves the unique essence of each variety.
