PRODUCTION AREA
Our AOP Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2022 comes from plots averaging 80 years old. The vines are mostly located around the family estate.
GRAPE VARIETIES
Our AOP Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge 2022 is a blend of five different grape varieties: Grenache for body, warmth, power, and balance; Syrah for color and preservation; and Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Clairette, which add complexity to the blend.
GEOLOGY
The soil is composed of sandy molasses, with west-facing slopes.
VINIFICATION
Exclusively from hand-harvested grapes, sorting is done both in the vineyard and at the winery. The harvest is 100% destemmed, and fermentation is carried out with strict temperature control between 25°C and 30°C. Traditional maceration with daily pump-overs and sometimes punching down at the end of alcoholic fermentation.
AGING
The grape varieties are blended after malolactic fermentation, then aged in concrete tanks for a minimum of 8 months before bottling.
TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: Dark red with violet reflections.
- Nose: Red and ripe fruits, with a bouquet ending in notes of licorice and spices.
- Palate: Structured and refined wine.
ADVICE
Our 2022 Côtes-du-Rhône red wine is best enjoyed in its youth but can be stored for 2 to 3 years. It pairs wonderfully with poultry and charcuterie.
